Words, work and worlds.
Ngongo-B is the company of Fedor van Eldijk. He writes absurd books, leads ICT organisations through their most difficult years, and makes software that lets people build their own worlds. Three trades that have nothing to do with each other. Except everything.
Words
Absurdist author, together with Ronald Snijders, of among others De Alfabetweter, Een Normaal Boek and Geen Boek, published by De Harmonie. Plus television, radio and a tear-off calendar with more days than a year.
To the books →Work
Interim manager for ICT and information management. Almost thirty years in the field, more than twenty of them leading teams, for municipalities, ministries, education and healthcare.
To the work →Worlds
Software for people who build: TRAX3D to design your model railway in 3D, TRAX Control to run it, and WAZO3D to make the buildings for it.
To the software →The same trade three times, really.
A writerinvents worlds that do not exist, and makes them hold together all the same: whoever tells an absurd story has to take its rules very seriously.
An ICT managermakes systems work in a world that does exist, for people who rely on them every day. A good organisation is a story too: everyone knows their part, and the ending is better than the beginning.
Softwareis where the two meet. In TRAX3D you design a railway world that is not there yet, and it has to be right to the millimetre before you buy a single rail for it.
The organisation
Employee of the month: see above. Meetings are short, decisions never unanimous.
A phone call can also be an e-mail.
